Lamb pelts and wool blankets

Pelts fit in at almost every spot of your house; on the couch, in the car, your favorite armchair, the home office, the baby carriage – or on the terrace on cool summer evenings.
Our Gotland Pelts are very large, soft and shiny. You get them in all shades of grey and some even black.
The pelts have not been colored in any way and therefore each pelt is unique.

We get our pelts tanned at the Tranås Tannery in Sweden. Tranås is environmentally certified according to Swedish standards, which are among the strictest in the world.

The pelts are either cut in a wool length of 35 mm. or 50 mm. or holds full wool length, which is about 100 to 200 mm. The full wool length pelts are NOT washable.

We sell Gotland Pelts from DKK 1,400 and up.

The wool blanket is made of 100% Danish Gotland wool in natural shades of grey and measures approx. 240 by 140cm.

First the wool is spun at Hjelholt Uldspinderi on Funen, a 4th generation small company owned by a family of wool spinners.
The spun yarn is then sent to a small weaving mill in Jutland called Acondria, where the plaids are woven. Acondria is owned by a now elderly man, therefore these plaids are the last to be woven.
The last touch is to comb each blanket.

This plaid was designed for the Danish Gotland sheep society by Anne Birgitte Hansen and is only sold through the association’s members and partners.

Pelt 1

Dark grey. A beautiful and unique pelt, which was voted the best long-haired pelt in Denmark 2024.
